COMMON QUESTIONS

You Ask — We Answer

HOW LONG DOES AN ASSESSMENT TAKE?

Depending on the type of assessment and client particulars, an assessment may take anything between 2-3 hours. Please ensure that your diary has an appropriate time allocation for completion of a full assessment.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR DURING AN ASSESSMENT?

Please note that the various types of assessments we perform include activities which may require a degree of physical exertion. As such it is recommended that clients wear comfortable clothing that will not impede their movements . It is further recommended that clients wear comfortable walking shoes.

SHOULD I BRING ANYTHING FOR THE ASSESSMENT?

Any documentation or items that we may require from you to bring along for the assessment, will be communicated prior to the assessment and on a case by case basis.

CAN I UNDERGO AN ASSESSMENT WHILE I AM PREGNANT?

Taking into consideration that the assessment involves not only an interview component but also a physical assessment, there is a health risk involved when the client is pregnant. The practice policy is not to perform physical assessments on individuals who have high risk pregnancies or who are in the final trimester. All needed precautions are taken to ensure the safety of the mother and the infant. If possible however, try to schedule the appointment at the stage when the client is no longer pregnant.
